Kissing Games of the World
by Sandi Kahn Shelton

Published in 2008. 386 pages.

This is a Salt Lake County Library's Reader's Choice nominee for July to October 2009. I was drawn to it by the title and the cover (although the photo is a bit of a mismatch because the main character is blonde). Somewhat reminiscent of the work of Anne Tyler but heavier on the romance, Kissing Games of the World was an enjoyable read.

  1. Okay, this is how incredibly bad I've been about Reader's Choice this time around-- I didn't even recognize this one!

Usually I try to read them all.... this time around, with 2 weeks left, I've read like 6.

    Sigh.

  2. Britt: I usually only read a couple of the Reader's Choice picks each time around - so don't feel bad!

  3. Speaking of SL, are you going to attend the Book Festival on the 24th? We are going to be at Shannon Hale's thing. My daughter has arranged with her agent for a brief video interview with Shannon.

  4. Booklogged: I'm not going to make it to the Book Festival this year. I'm going to be doing the 24-Hour Read-a-Thon that day instead. Enjoy Shannon Hale! I absolutely adored her when I heard her speak before.

  5. I have this on my TBR list, glad to hear you liked it. I like Anne Tyler. I hate it when they mess up the cover, especially when it's something really obvious like the main character's hair colour!
