I Have a Book to Give Away!

Last year I received a review copy of Andromeda Romano-Lax's debut novel The Spanish Bow. After posting my review, I gave the book away to one of those who had commented on it.

I now have a copy of the paperback version of The Spanish Bow, and I'd like to pass it along to someone else who will enjoy it!

If you are interested, please take a look at my original review and leave a comment either there or here. I'll randomly choose one of those who comments by November 15 to receive the book.

  6. I just finished reading Guernica and I'm itching to read something else from the Spanish civil war/World War period. I read your review. The hardcover copy is beautiful. I like lots of details, I tend to read everything slowly and carefully anyway so I might like it even more than you did. And music is always a great subject in any novel. Please enter me for this book. Thank you.

  7. I am intrigued by the premise and scope of this book - I'd love to win it! And on a side note - the cover art you featured on the review, was that just for the hardback? Just curious, I think it's beautiful, but perhaps they changed it for paperback. I always find it interesting what they do with book design. Thanks again!

  8. ...the real cellist Pablo Casals, was an artist my son highlighted last year in orchestra, my son plays the cello. You have my interest piqued! *eyebrows raised* I'd love to read it.

  9. I am a musician and love to read books that feature music in a prominent way. Because I have a son who is a cellist, I think this one sounds fascinating. I read a book a couple years ago called "Stradivari's Genius: Five Violins, One Cello, and Three Centuries of Enduring Perfection", by Toby Faber, that was very interesting and I have a book in my TBR pile called "The Soloist" by Mark Salzman, about a cellist, so this book sounds like my kind of book. Please consider me for your drawing!
