Meryl is hosting a mini-challenge. She says, "Give me a great quote from the book you're reading right now." I'm currently working on The Eyre Affair, the first in the Tuesday Next series by Jasper Fforde, and this is a brief passage that made me laugh out loud:
"Did the memory erasure device work, Uncle?"
"The what?"
"The memory erasure device. You were testing it when I last saw you."
"Don't know what you're talking about, dear girl."
That is funny. I have been wanting to read that book for months.
