As if I need something else to keep me reading . . .
Nattie is hosting the Newbery Challenge, and since I love children's books, I just can't resist! My six picks from the Newbery Medal Winners:
- Katherine Paterson - Bridge to Terabithia (1978)*
- Beverly Cleary - Dear Mr. Henshaw (1984)
- Karen Cushman - The Midwife's Apprentice (1996)
- E. L. Konigsburg - The View from Saturday (1997)
- Louis Sachar - Holes (1999)
- Susan Patron - The Higher Power of Lucky (2007)
Wow, I was just thinking about children's book the last few days and you gave me the answers. I will go check out these titles you mentioned. :)
ReplyDeletePS: I like Chessire Cat and your blog is really nice. Love the names of your three children. Hehe...
I'm doing the Newbury challenge too. I've read Bridge to Terabithia and saw the movie too. They were both very sad. I've also read Holes.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind if you link to my blog. Thanks for asking.
